New Whites-Only Basketball League

Old people remember the days when whites were allowed to play in the NBA. It was a time before players pulled guns on each other in the locker room or attacked people in the stands, a time when people actually watched the NBA. The All-American Basketball Alliance (AABA), a new professional basketball league announced this week, believes they can re-create those days when their inaugural season kicks off in June.

The Augusta Chronicle is reporting that former pro wrestling promoter Don "Moose" Lewis, who calls himself the commissioner of the new AABA, "will exclude blacks and all foreigners from his new league." According to a press release received by the paper and other media outlets in Augusta, GA, "only players that are natural-born United State citizens with both parents of Caucasian race are eligible to play in the league." Potential players must be ready to present birth certificates from Caucasia to be eligible. By extending exclusion to all foreigners, the rule would not be without its obvious negative side effects, such as preventing greats like Dirk Nowitzki (German) of the Dallas Mavericks. But on the other hand, it also keeps out the commis.

The Chronicle also quoted Lewis, who forgot that only racial exclusion is only acceptable when it's NOT done by white people, as saying that he wants to emphasize "fundamental basketball" instead of "street ball" played by "people of color." Al Sharpton has already offered a $10,000 bounty on Lewis- the money for will come from donations to the College Negro Fund, which white people aren't allowed to say because it has the word 'Negro.'

Said Lewis, "there's nothing hatred about what we're doing. I don't hate anyone of color." Several fans who were interviewed expressed understanding for what Lewis is trying to do, but admitted that they would rather risk being shot by an NBA player than sit through a boring basketball game with only white people.

Remarked another fan, "hey man, you had me at 'no foreigners.'"

Lewis defended his stance by referring to recent incidents in the NBA, such as Gilbert Arenas' suspension for bringing guns into the Washington Wizards locker room. "Would you want to go to the game and worry about a player flipping you off or attacking you in the stands or grabbing their crotch?" Said Lewis, the former promoter of the very respectful, family-friendly sport of professional wrestling.

Lewis hopes to have teams in a dozen southeastern cities such as Augusta, Albany, and Chattanooga, and believes they will have at least 80-90 fans at each game, nearly twice as many as the WNBA averages per contest. However, the reality is that Lewis will likely be ostracized for trying to help de-segregate professional basketball, which, by promoting baseball, golf, tennis, lacrosse, soccer, and hockey in suburban neighborhoods, has historically gone to great lengths to keep the white man down.
